Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman, Motilal Oswal, says the largecap opportunity is stunning and they will make tonnes of money and maybe it is not popular what I am saying..

Is there alpha generation in mid and smallcaps in the next 1-2 years?. 98-99% people do not get the index return in the long run..

And generally, valuations are cheaper in largecaps and then the Indian story is such that largecap is actually globally a midcap and jitne aap midcap bolte hai they are microcap, (those that you call midcaos are microcaps) they are flies...

They remain small because they have some mindset issue and the companies that have become large deserve to be largecaps and they will benefit big time in this consolidating and growing economy..

“Broadly we should be somewhere around one-third, one-third in large and smallcap category and somewhere around 25-26% in midcap categories as of last month. Sector-wise, one should look at it more from the B2B versus B2C and so on. The financial services sector is high, 25% plus. Sectors in the B2B or manufacturing part of the economy are more in auto, auto accessories.”
