Nani explains why Jersey, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi remakes did not work: ‘It’s not something audience is exploring on day 1’

Key Points

Dasara is Nanis first pan-Indian film which will be released in multiple languages across the country..

Nanis Jersey and Allu Arjuns Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo were remade in Hindi as Jersey and Shehzada, respectively, and both these films failed to attract the audience..

The Ante Sundaraniki actor said that in earlier times, it was easier to remake films from other languages because there wasnt much communication about how the original had performed, and the content was not available on the internet so the audience came in to watch a brand-new film..

But now, I think that is going away, he said.. Nani also pointed out that until a few years ago, films were not released in a pan-India fashion, instead their remake rights were sold to different markets..

Now, after these many examples of people watching films like Baahubali, Kantara, KGF, Pushpa, they have proved that it doesnt matter, he said.. Dasara is releasing in theatres on March 31..
