Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Darjeeling MP Raju Bista on Saturday night held a meeting with leaders of hill parties including Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) leader Bimal Gurung and Hamro Party chief Ajoy Edwards ahead of the panchayat polls..

Sources said the BJP along with other hill parties is contemplating forming an alliance against the ruling Trinamool Congress and its alliance partner Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM)..

During an interaction with media persons on Saturday, BJP Darjeeling MP Raju Bista said, We held a meeting with Bimal Gurung and Ajoy Edwards regarding the forthcoming panchayat polls..

Meanwhile, BGPM Chief Anit Thapa, whose party won Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) election in Darjeeling hills last year, said that every party has its electoral strategy..
