As the discourse heats up ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of India on Wednesday issued show cause notices to BJP's Dilip Ghosh and Congress' Supriya Shrinate for their remarks against West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut respectively...

The Commission has found the comments to be 'undignified and in bad taste' and prima facie violative of the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct and Commission's advisory dated March 1, 2024...

Previously, Congress leader Shrinate sparked controversy on social media when an alleged inappropriate post about actor Kangana Ranaut, who was recently fielded by the BJP in Mandi constituency, surfaced on her social media profile, prompting criticism from the BJP, which called for action against her...
