BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala has filed a complaint against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar, alleging that she called him "Mujahideen" and abused his faith..

Poonawala in his police complaint alleged that "extremely communal" remarks were made against him during a debate on a TV channel..

"During the course of the debate, unable to answer the questions, she resorted to labelling me as Mujahideen (which is now known for terrorism) and she kept using that word against me merely because I am a Muslim..

In the past too, she has made such comments on-air and off-air against my faith, against Islam and against Muslims in general," Shehzad Poonawala said in his complaint...

Kakkar has been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 153B (imputations prejudicial to national integration), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings) and 505 (public mischief)...
