Annamalai, a former IPS officer whose aggressive posturing has lifted the BJP's hopes in the state, said efforts were on to retrieve the island from Sri Lanka - a longstanding demand of Tamil Nadu fishermen who frequently face arrest by the Sri Lankan Navy...

While the party is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to the Tamil voters through Annamalai's aggressive campaigns and PM Modi's focus on the state, it remains to be seen if the BJP can better its performance in Tamil Nadu...
