'Lord Ram BJP's election candidate': Sena's swipe on Ayodhya Mandir inauguration

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday hit out at the BJP and alleged the politicisation of the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya..

Raut also said the party will soon "announce Lord Ram their candidate" for elections...

Responding to questions over the invitation to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, the Sena leader told news agency ANI, "Now, the only thing left is that the BJP will announce that Lord Ram will be their candidate for the elections."..

On Thursday, Raut had said the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 was a "BJP event" and not a national one..

(Party founder) Balasaheb Thackeray visited Ayodhya along with workers," Raut said underlining his party's strong connection to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement...
