A day after four people were arrested after two of them jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber and set off smoke canisters in a major security breach inside Parliament, as many as 14 opposition MPs including one from the Rajya Sabha were suspended for disrupting the proceedings. The uproar forced several adjournments, demanding a statement from the government on the security breach. Meanwhile, Lalit Mohan Jha, the key accused in the Parliament security breach incident was arrested and the police said they have filed terrorism charges against the four accused under the stringent UAPA. Eight Delhi Police personnel were also suspended over the incident. Police also said a total of six people were involved in the sensational incident that coincided with the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on Parliament.
