Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister who also holds the finance and planning portfolios, will be tabling the state budget for the financial year 2023-24...

The growth in the industrial sector will be the biggest challenge as the government is grappling with the allegations made by the Opposition that big-ticket projects like Vedanta Foxconn semiconductor projects and Tata-Airbus Defense aircraft manufacturing projects have been shifted to other poll bound BJP-ruled states..

A major share of the budget is expected on the new infrastructure projects including express highways, flyovers, trans-harbour links, airports, super fast connectivity railways to promote its image as a developmental government ahead of polls..
