Calling a complaint letter by 11 MLAs to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah bogus, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday said the legislators were asked to wait for funds as the move to fulfil poll promises took away a large chunk of the money..

He said the Congress government in Karnataka had to keep aside Rs 40,000 crore this financial year for the five manifesto promises.. Eleven Congress MLAs on Tuesday wrote to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, complaining that 20 ministers were not responding to their requests regarding work in their constituencies...

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the Congress government did not have any money for fresh development projects as it had set aside funds to fulfill its five poll promises..

He said MLAs had allegedly said that ministers were not cooperating or releasing funds, but the ministers had informed the MLAs that there was a fund crunch due to money being set aside for the poll promises...
