Lok Sabha Election Dates 2024: The Election Commission of India is gearing up to announce the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, with an expected announcement after March 13. The commission is currently assessing the election readiness of various states and addressing potential issues. Nearly 97 crore Indians will be eligible to vote in this year's elections, reflecting a 6% increase in registered voters since 2019. Efforts are also underway to explore the feasibility of holding simultaneous elections across the country.

The poll body informed that they have been receiving complaints from Congress alleging that unauthorised political advertisements are still being displayed in many places across the country.
