Punjab and Haryana HC grants bail to accused held for issuing fake experience certificates

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted bail to an accused arrested by the Punjab State Crime Branch who allegedly issued fake experience certificates to the candidates for obtaining employment as Assistant Linemen in the PSPCL...

The Crime Branch had arrested Kumar and other accused in the case after the Punjab and Haryana HC had directed the IGP (Crime) to probe the alleged PSPCL job scam..

Thereafter, the court directed the Punjab government to constitute a SIT to probe the matter and the case was handed over to the state Crime Branch...

The Crime Branch found that Ashwani Kumar (petitioner) and his father Daulat Ram had issued 139 experience certificates without any corresponding record..

More so, when the case was triable by the court of a magistrate and 25 co-accused who had obtained appointment using the fake and forged experience certificates had been granted bail...
