Siddaramaiah on Governor's prosecution nod in MUDA case: Will challenge it in court of law

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday accused the Centre of using Raj Bhavan for politics after the Governor granted permission to sanction him in the alleged scam on the allocation of land by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA)...

In his first reaction to the development, Siddaramaiah alleged it was a conspiracy by the Opposition to topple his elected government..

He said the Congress was standing by his side and that the Governor's decision will be challenged in court...

The senior Congress leader also alleged that this Governor's move was a conspiracy to dislodge a democratically-elected government in Karnataka by the BJP, JD(S) and others...

This move by the Governor was anticipated, the Chief Minister said.. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot's decision to prosecute Siddaramaiah came following a complaint filed by RTI activist TJ Abraham, who flagged the 'MUDA scam'..
