Hero MotoCorp gets tax and interest notice from I-T Dept totalling Rs 605 cr for six AYs

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has received tax demand notice from the Income Tax Department for Rs 308.65 crore and interest thereon for Rs 296.22 crore for six assessment years, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday...

The notice is on account of certain disallowances in the mentioned assessment years...

Scooter sales were at 430,783 units in FY24 as compared to 369,390 units in FY23, the company said.. Domestic sales in FY24 were higher at 54,20,532 units as compared to 51,55,793 units in FY23, it added..
