Former Union minister and leader of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti party, Pashupati Kumar Paras was very much part of the NDA and hoped to get a better deal, including the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat which he currently represents as an MP..

Another leader Mukesh Sahni from VIP tried to forge a deal with both the NDA and the INDIA bloc and was asking for three Lok Sabha seats which were not accepted by any of the alliances..

In UP, Azad Samaj Party leader Chandra Shekhar Azad was willing to join the INDIA bloc and he even had a discussion with SP leader Akhilesh Yadav who offered him one seat on SP symbol which didn't work out..
