BJP forms election manifesto committee under Rajnath Singh for Lok Sabha elections

If elected, Modi is expected to overhaul his Council of Ministers, put in place a new BJP President, and will have to deal with a new set of world leaders and perhaps altered bilateral equations as several countries go to polls this year.

The BJP is holding a two-day meeting in New Delhi with 11,500 delegates to outline its campaign themes for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to deliver a speech setting the party's campaign goals, aiming for the BJP to win 370 seats in the elections. The meeting will also discuss key issues such as the economy, the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, and the government's welfare initiatives.

Bhojpuri film star Ravi Kishan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP for re-nominating him from Gorakhpur for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He thanked the party's leadership for the opportunity to contest from the hottest seat after Kashi (Varanasi), and pledged to maintain their trust. PM Modi will contest from Varanasi for the third time, while Ravi Kishan will run from Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath's stronghold. The BJP's first list of candidates also includes heavyweights like Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh.
