The Tata-owned home appliance manufacturer has lined up investments of over Rs 1,300 crore for manufacturing, which include components like compressors, expansion of capacity, and manufacturing of newer home appliances, its managing director and CEO Pradeep Bakshi said...

Voltas had last week said it will raise up to Rs 500 crore through issuance of listed, unsecured, redeemable non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis, which would be utilised for capital expenditure for its new manufacturing plants at Chennai and Waghodia in Gujarat...

Bakshi said Voltas has notched up around 10% market share in semi-automatic washing machines and is amongst the top five brands in the overall washing machine market..
