Blinkit stores have resumed operations after delivery partners' strike, says Zomato

As many as 50 stores were closed in the capital and the reason behind the same was revealed to be a strike by workers who were protesting against a change in their pay structures..

The delivery partners claimed that Blinkit had reduced their payout from Rs 25 per delivery to Rs 15..

Over the last few days we have made changes in the delivery partner payout structure with respect to the Blinkit business to address the needs of delivery partners, improve customer experience and reduce cancellation/ order rejection frauds by few delivery partners in the system..

Talking about the reason behind shutting stores, the company said that the measure had to be taken in order to ensure 'safety of its employees at store as well as the delivery partners'...
