DoT decides to auction all unsold airwaves, again

The Department of Telecommunications in India has decided to put unsold airwaves worth approximately ₹2.65 lakh crore on sale again at the same base prices as last year's auction. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) declined to provide a fresh reserve price for spectrum bands auctioned in July-August 2022. The next auction is scheduled for January, and no new spectrum bands will be auctioned in this sale. The bands will be auctioned with the same conditions as last year's sale. The DoT wanted to auction the 37 GHz band but will now proceed with a limited sale due to the lack of a reserve price. Key Points
